About the School

Moving People Dance Centre (MPDC) offers a friendly, nurturing environment for both the serious student and the recreational dancer. We encourage students to find their own voice through dance by offering a wide variety of dance disciplines. A year-round presence of professional dancers provides unique insight into the world of dance.

Students of MPDC go on to study at some of the most prestigious dance programs in the United States including The Juilliard School, NYU Tisch, American Ballet Theatre, San Francisco Ballet, Harid Conservatory, Miami City Ballet, Alonzo King’s Lines Contemporary Ballet, The Alvin Ailey School, The Joffery Ballet, American Dance Festival, and Cleo Parker Robinson. Our students and teachers have received national attention and high honors at the Youth America Grand Prix regionals and finals, and the New York Dance Alliance.

The MPDC Pre-professional Training Program specializes in ballet, modern, and jazz technique, providing an intensive curriculum for the serious dance student in a supportive, positive, and highly professional environment.
